Stephen White

Graduating with a Diploma in Horticulture at Lincoln, University of Canterbury, Stephen then blasted off to sea on the Round The World Yacht Race in search of the meaning of life. He found it sitting under an olive tree in Tuscany, with a glass of red wine in hand… and so Stonyridge was conceived.

David Jackson

David brings to Stonyridge a business mandate like no other. He comes highly qualified from the land of OZ with a Diploma in Business Management and leads the fabulous team at Stonyridge in their strive for perfection.His sense of humour is all his own!

Wine Production Manager

Martin Pickering

Martin started his career at Goldwater Estate back in 1992 and has worked on vintages in Pomerol, St Emilion & the Napa Valley. He returned to Waiheke in 2004 as winemaker of Mudbrick vineyard where he produced two trophies, twenty gold medals and dozens of other awards. He now heads up the winemaking team at Stonyridge and is a great friend to us all.

Dayne Stagg

Dayne joined the Stonyridge team in 2008 with the enthusiasm to keep his hometown firmly on the global wine map. With experience in over ten vintages on Waiheke Island and a passion for organic viticulture, you are sure to find Dayne and the team working tirelessly in the vineyard to ensure greatness reaches every bottle of Stonyridge wine.

Christine Samuels

After working for several successful local Waiheke businesses over her past 12 years on the island. Chrissy joined the Stonyridge team in November 2013. While it was Stonyridge’s values and fine wine that initially won Chrissy’s heart, our fun-loving and ambitious atmosphere has happily kept her in our office ever since!

Rachel Cole

Rachel joined Stonyridge in November 2013 after working in 5 star hotels in New Zealand and Australia. With a Degree in International Hotel Management and Hospitality, Rachel has experience in numerous parts of this industry and is here, ready to help you create an event, function or wedding that will leave you smiling with lasting memories.

Joshua Stalker

Josh came to Stonyridge for a 2 week holiday from Australia in 2009 and after tasting his first Stonyridge wine he was hooked. Josh has now been with us for 6 years starting in the cellar door doing wine tastings and tours and is now our Restaurant and Hospitality Manager. In 2013, Josh completed the Professional wine Studies course AUT and continues to learn more about wine from Steve, our owner and Martin, our wine maker. Josh looks forward to hosting your visit here.

Audrey Cauet

After studying in her native Champagne region in France, Audrey graduated with a degree of International trade of Wine and Spirits. It was in February 2012 that Audrey came to New Zealand with a working holiday visa and join the Stonyridge team. Although she originally set out to stay for just a few months, Audrey feel in love with Stonyridge and Waiheke and decided to extend her stay. It has now been over 3 years since Audrey combined her experience and love for wine to give Stonyridge visitors the best wine tasting experience!

Cellar Manager

Jessie Deng

Jessie loves wine and nothing is more apparent when she talks. She worked at one of the biggest wine importers in China before moving to New Zealand where she completed the post graduate diploma in Wine Science at the University of Auckland. She joined the Stonyridge team in 2012 and has been a great asset for Stonyridge with her wine knowledge and her multi-lingual skill of Mandarin, Cantonese and English!
